Maintenance Assistant

Hours:               22.5 hours / week (part-time)

Shift pattern:    Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 08.00-16.00  with On Call 1 week in 3       

Salary:              £24,647 - £26,763 per annum (pro-rata)

Holiday:            35 days per annum (including public holidays) (pro-rata)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Maintenance Assistant

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, you can expect your working day to include the following:

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • undertake maintenance tasks across buildings, grounds and equipment.
  • to complete tasks identified as part of a planned preventative maintenance programme.
  • to undertake routine inspection and maintenance of Retail premises (15 shops, warehouse, Café and Railway)
  • We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...

To succeed in the role of Maintenance Assistant you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Good working knowledge of statutory and mandatory guidance, e.g. health & safety legislation, technical standards etc, normally gained through experience.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Team working skills as well as lone working
  • Effective communication skills
  • Effective organisational skills
